Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026. At Iron Library we are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the site. If you contact us through our contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you choose to provide. When you use the gym finder, the location you type is sent to third-party mapping services to return results; we do not store it. We may also collect basic, aggregated usage data such as pages visited and general device type.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiries, to operate and improve the website, and to keep it secure. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except where required by law or where strictly necessary to deliver a service you have requested.
Location data
Iron Library does not silently track your physical location. The gym finder only uses an address or place name that you actively type in, which is sent to OpenStreetMap services to look up nearby gyms. We do not access your device's GPS or store your location history.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of reputable third-party services to deliver features such as maps, geocoding, and embedded videos. When you interact with these features, the relevant provider processes the request under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies for details on their data handling.
Data security and retention
We apply reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected or as required by law.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, please reach out through our contact page and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
